Cecilia Lindberg, who has been actively competing in the IPSC sport since 2013, has made a name for herself on the international scene. Her successes in the ‘Production Optics Lady’ division are particularly outstanding: in 2022, she won the bronze medal at the IPSC Handgun World Shoot XIX in Thailand and set another exclamation mark in 2023 with gold at the European Handgun Championship in Greece. In 2024, she once again secured the title of Swedish champion in this discipline.
With Cecilia, GECO welcomes not only a second female marksman to the IPSC team, but also a dedicated trainer. Lindberg, who grew up on a farm near Trollhättan, Sweden, has been dedicated to promoting shooting sports for women for years. She offers special courses to get women interested in IPSC, to build their confidence and pave the way for them to get into this dynamic shooting sport.
‘I love IPSC because it's a sport where you can always grow – get faster, more precise and better. It's incredibly rewarding to constantly take on new challenges,’ says Cecilia about her passion.
With her impressive precision and inspiring personality, Cecilia Lindberg enriches the GECO IPSC team. We look forward to shared success and an exciting collaboration that will not only promote the GECO brand, but also the international IPSC sport.
ABOUT IPSC – ACTION WITH 4 LETTERS
The traditional German ammunition brand GECO and the relatively young International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) are a good match, and not just because of the four-letter abbreviation of each.
GECO SUPPORTS
GECO is an official ammunition supplier and sponsor of many major IPSC events, such as European and World Championships. GECO is involved in the world of dynamic shooting sports far beyond its specialised range of ammunition. In addition to organising and actively participating in relevant events, GECO has been generously supporting top IPSC marksmen from various European countries for years. GECO was also the main sponsor of this year's ‘IPSC Rifle World Shoot’ in Finland and gave its name to the prestigious IPSC Level III competition ‘GECO Masters’ in Germany.
