GECO's highlights from the International Hunting and Shooting Days at Grünau Castle
From 10/11/2024 to 10/13/2024, the 10th International Hunting and Shooting Days took place in the historic hunting lodge of the Wittelsbach family in Grünau. In glorious autumn weather, the event attracted numerous visitors and once again shone with over 450 renowned exhibitors from the hunting and shooting industry and over 30,000 visitors. The special atmosphere of the castle grounds made for an unforgettable experience and underscored the exclusive character of the trade fair.
This year, numerous companies presented their latest products and services. In addition to the variety of products, the focus was on exchange – networking and building new partnerships played a central role. Feedback from exhibitors and visitors was consistently positive, which underscores the high value of the event in the industry calendar.
Of course, there were some topics at both trade fairs that were the particular focus of visitors.
In particular, the lead-free GECO STAR and GECO ZERO bullets aroused the interest of visitors. The GECO STAR impresses with maximum depth effect and high residual weight, and thanks to its hollow point, it reliably deforms at almost all hunting distances. The GECO grooves also ensure high precision. These properties make the GECO STAR an interesting option for anyone who hunts without lead and also wants to be able to use the game.
With ZERO, GECO offers another lead-free bullet with the best effectiveness and high precision. This is a highly innovative jacketed bullet with a hollow point and two tin cores – the front core with radial predetermined breaking points ensures reliable performance and a high level of lethality, while the rear core guarantees a mass-stable residual body and a secure exit wound. A major advantage here is the tombac-plated mild steel jacket, which, compared to monolithic copper bullets, causes hardly any barrel deposits.
