Gold in Växjö: Swedish Championship Title for GECO IPSC Shooter Thomas Edvardsson
A strong performance from Thomas Edvardsson at the Växjö Shotgun Open 2026:
The IPSC GECO shooter claimed the individual Swedish Championship title: he successfully defended his title as Swedish champion once again. Thomas also secured team gold in both the Swedish Championship standings and the Main Match.
Thomas also delivered an impressive performance in the internationally contested Main Match, finishing third overall and earning another place on the podium. The Växjö Shotgun Open brought together shooters from Sweden as well as Poland, Finland, Norway, Denmark and Germany, among others, competing across a total of twelve stages.
For Thomas, the competition also provided a successful test of form ahead of his next major challenge: the World Championship, which is just one month away. Thomas relies on GECO ammunition in competition, which was once again part of his setup during his successful weekend in Växjö.

About Växjö SM IPSC Shotgun 2026
The Växjö SM IPSC Shotgun 2026 was hosted by Växjö Pistolklubb on August 23, 2026. The international IPSC Shotgun Level III match featured twelve stages across the Open, Modified, Standard and Standard Manual divisions. The event also served as the 2026 Swedish IPSC Shotgun Championship.
