GECO Plus – The All-Rounder for Stand Hunting, Stalking, and Driven Hunts

Until the 1960s, soft-point or fragmenting bullets were the most popular hunting projectiles. From the 1970s onward, however, hunters began to demand more stable deformation bullets—with better weight retention, fewer fragments, and less meat damage.
In this context, GECO developed the proven and widely used GECO Plus. Unlike conventional soft-point bullets, the GECO Plus core is bonded to the jacket using a special soldering process, ensuring high weight retention and penetration.
Production Steps at a Glance
Forming the cup from tombac
Drawing and trimming the jacket to size
Inserting solder into the jacket, placing the lead core, and baking in an oven to fuse the two parts
Adding predetermined breaking points to ensure reliable expansion on impact
Final pressing to give the bullet its defined geometry
Applying the cannelure and calibrating the bullet – the cannelure ensures a precise fit within the cartridge case
The GECO Plus is the ideal choice for hunters who value a balance between stopping power and deep penetration. Its strong bonding makes it well-suited for heavier game and ensures reliable expansion—even on bone hits.
This bullet is also perfectly suited for the driven hunt season. Thanks to its bonded-core technology, it avoids over-fragmentation at short ranges and guarantees a clean exit wound—even under challenging conditions.
