GECO team triumphs at European and German Championships: international medal & numerous national championship titles

The GECO brand can look back with pride on an outstanding week of competition: our GECO team members delivered excellent performances and won impressive titles at both the IPSC European Shotgun Championship and the German Short Gun Championship Part I.

EM IPSC Shotgun 2025 – Bronze for GECO shooter Stefan Rumpler
Over 600 participants from more than 40 countries travelled to Buzsák (Hungary) for the IPSC European Shotgun Championship 2025 to compete for titles and rankings in various divisions and age groups.
GECO shooter Stefan Rumpler (DE) shone in the internationally strong Open Overall class with an outstanding performance:
3rd place overall in the Open class – a podium place at the highest level!
In the exciting shoot-off between the eight best shooters, Stefan fought his way to the final, but was narrowly defeated ‘once again’ by a US shooter with a score of 1:2.
In the team competition, he finished 4th together with the German team.
GECO team member Thomas Edvardsson (SWE) also put in a strong performance:
· 13th place overall in the Standard Division
· 5th place with the Swedish team
Both impressively demonstrated that GECO is not only excellently represented at national level, but also at European level.

German Short Gun Championship Part I – A shower of titles for GECO
Last weekend also saw the start of the first BDS German Championship 2025 in the IPSC divisions Production Optics, Revolver and Standard – with great success for the GECO team:
Luis Ehrhardt – Gold in Production Optics
With a lead of over 5%, Luis Ehrhardt secured the German championship title in the Production Optics division among approximately 200 competitors. He also won the team title with his club team, rounding off his triumph perfectly.
Sascha Back – double gold in the Revolver division
GECO team member Sascha Back confirmed his exceptional form and dominated the Revolver classification:
1st place overall
1st place Senior
A double victory that once again underlines his consistent top performance.
Strong team performance in Standard
In the highly competitive Standard Division, Stefan Rumpler finished in a solid 5th place overall, while Patrick Kummer took 10th place. Together with their club team, both became German vice-champions – further proof of the high sporting level of the GECO team.
These results show once again that GECO stands for top performance in sport shooting – whether on the national or international stage.
Our athletes demonstrate not only technical precision and mental strength, but also team spirit and sportsmanship at the highest level.
GECO is more than ammunition. It is the brand of winners. This is where the thrill begins.
We congratulate all GECO shooters on their well-deserved successes and look forward to the upcoming competitions!
